Responsibilities
- Assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular and peripheral vascular conditions
- Support diagnostic and therapeutic coronary angiography procedures
- Assist with electrophysiology examinations and peripheral vascular procedures
- Prepare patients, procedure rooms, and specialized cardiovascular equipment
- Assist with catheterization procedures and associated patient monitoring
- Follow established sterile technique, infection prevention, and patient safety standards
- Operate and maintain appropriate cardiovascular diagnostic and procedural equipment
- Document patient information and procedural activities accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the cardiovascular team
- Support efficient Cath Lab operations and high-quality patient care
Qualifications
- Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience required
- Cardiovascular or cardiac catheterization experience preferred
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification preferred, not required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or an approved equivalent required
- Strong understanding of cardiovascular procedures and patient safety
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital-based interventional environment
