We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Director for a permanent, full-time leadership opportunity at a 558-bed acute care hospital in Atlantis, Florida.
This position provides operational oversight of the Medical Imaging Department, including daily workflow, staffing, patient care coordination, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
The Director leads clinical supervisors across imaging modalities and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Key Responsibilities
- Direct the daily operations of the Medical Imaging Department.
- Lead and support clinical supervisors across imaging modalities.
- Coordinate departmental activities, delegate responsibilities, and oversee staffing.
- Manage patient flow and support efficient delivery of imaging services.
- Monitor departmental performance, quality of work, and patient care standards.
- Maintain technical proficiency and knowledge of imaging procedures.
- Oversee imaging protocols, equipment maintenance, computer files, and quality-control documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Maintain departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory readiness.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to support departmental and organizational objectives.
- Exercise independent judgment while following established departmental guidelines and practices.
Required Qualifications
- Current ARRT certification.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to successfully complete a fingerprint-based background check.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging operations, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to oversee clinical supervisors and coordinate imaging services across multiple modalities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree.
- 3–5 years of Radiology Department management experience involving multiple imaging modalities.
- Recent leadership experience within an acute care hospital.
- Experience supervising imaging leaders and managing departmental operations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of imaging quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and patient care standards.
